Lisa has been showing and training horses for over 30 yrs, both english and western. She has competed successfully on the AQHA circuit, in open shows, and in dressage competitions. She is an Irwin Insights Master Level 4 Trainer. A top trainer recognized by Chris Irwin. Lisa also received exceptional training from Pat Carter, of Ontario (the recent recipient of the AQHA Lifetime Achievement Award). Pat coached Lisa to year end awards in Ontario as well as prepared her for the Equine Canada Western Coaching Certification , which she acquired in 2004, receiving the Competition Coach of the Year Award in 2013.
Lisa is always learning and bringing as much as she can to her students and horses in training. In 2014 she traveled to Florida to train with Lynn Palm and Cyril Pittion-Rossilin in Western Dressage. In the fall she attended the WDAA World Western Dressage Show where she finished top 5 in both of her classes (Level 2 and 3). In 2015 she traveled to Washington to complete her Level 2 Centered Riding Instructor Certification and is also working toward the Western Competiton Coach Specialist Certification with Equine Canada, having completed the coaching portion of the requirements. Lisa also receives dressage training from Lindsey Stroh.
In 2015, Lisa added Somatic Movement Instructor and in 2018 Clinical Essential Somatic Practitioner to her list of credentials. Somatics brings a person greater
awareness to their body, releasing muscle tension, improving posture, alignment, and flexibility, all key components in riding. To learn more about Somatics click on the SomaticRider tab.
